The study was a secondary data analysis of TIMSS (The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) 2019 Grade 9 data for South Africa. The data was downloaded from TIMSS and the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) website together with the software to analyse the data.
The data requires SPSS software and International Database (IDB) Analyzer that can be downloaded from the TIMSS and PIRLS website in order to process it. The softwares made it possible to analyse the data following discriptive and multiple linear regression analysis.
