Addresses in South Africa : purposes, challenges and transformative way forward
Stakeholder perspectives on governance challenges for addresses in South Africa and transformative ways forward. The investigation was done to assess the suitability of various addressing mechanisms (or systems), based on the purposes and requirements for addressing, and to consider a transformative way forward for South Africa. The first part of the study made use of scientific and other literature, that is, purely a desktop study of the purposes, requirements, and addressing mechanisms (or systems). The purpose of the interview was to contextualize the purposes, requirements, and mechanisms (or systems) for addresses in the country; to understand the challenges that addressing stakeholders experience; and to consider a transformative way forward.
