Analysis of multi-state production systems
This dataset was designed to facilitate the development and validation of inventory models that address the management of deteriorating products in multi-state systems. The datasets used for the models in this thesis "Integration of multi-state systems in a series of EPQ models for deteriorating products" were simulated rather than collected from laboratory experiments. Due to the complex nature of the multi-state inventory systems and the practical challenges of conducting real-world experiments, simulations were employed to generate data that closely reflect realistic scenarios in managing perishable products. Each sub-objective of the thesis is supported by simulated datasets that allow for testing and validation of the proposed models under a variety of conditions, including shifting production rates, imperfect quality materials, and dynamic demand responses. The dataset encompasses various dynamic parameters, including production rates, demand rates, deterioration rates, selling prices, cost rates, shelf life, quality considerations, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
