Analysis of pure tone averages, logMar scores, and participant variables in adults with diabetes
These datasets consist of information collected from 33 adults between the ages of 21 and 60 who have been diagnosed with diabetes. Each participant was assigned a unique ID and their data included variables such as age, gender, type and duration of diabetes, and presence of comorbidities. Audiometry results were recorded for each ear, indicating the presence of hearing loss. The South African English Digits-in-Noise tests results indicated whether participants passed or failed, and the mobile vision screening results also indicated pass or fail outcomes. Spearman correlations were conducted to observe the strength of the relationships between participant variables, and hearing loss and/or visual impairment (i.e. failed vision screening).
