Anti-ageing investigation of Persicaria senegalensis
This document summarises the raw data as analysed and reported in the PhD thesis, A wrinkle in time: the effect of Persicaria senegalensis on the maintenance of the dermal matrisome in photoageing skin. It includes the IC50 values obtained for the elastase inhibition study, cytotoxicity screening on human keratinocytes and human dermal fibroblasts, and serum concentrations of inflammatory cytokines of IL12p70, IL10, IL8, IL6 and TNFa and elastin. These values were used to calculate the results reported in the thesis and were analysed for statistical significance. The final excel sheet contains the GC-MS data that was analysed according to the steps described to compare the crude and fermented extracts as described.
