Child sexual grooming and solicitation

dataset
posted on 2025-01-28, 10:16 authored by Peninah KigundaPeninah Kigunda

The data was collected using in-depth, open-ended interviews with eight participants. The people who were included in the interview are those people who had experienced child sexual grooming and solicitation when they were 18 years and below and the perpetrator was 18 years and above and did not have any psychological problems associated with the experience. The participants were purposefully recruited using online recruitment on social media and through face to face. Those that were found to meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria were interviewed both face to face and online by using either Google Meet or Microsoft Teams; the data collection method was determined by the participants access to a laptop, smartphone, or data.
