The dataset shows interviews conducted with 10 third year psychology students at the University of Pretoria. The table provides a summarised account of the students' experience in career decision making. The dataset comprised of 7 females and 4 males ranging from 20 to 46 years of age. The dataset shows that 100% of the participants viewed personality as a reason for their choice in their psychology career path.Other factors such as gender, vocational assessments, employability, discrimination and Covid-19 comprised of the lowest influence in the career decision making of the participants.
