In the dataset presented, the researcher gathered data based on departmental heads in the Tshwane West district. I collected the data through the use of face-to-face semi-structured interviews. The dataset is derived from a qualitative research approach under the interpretivist paradigm. The analysis of the data collected followed a thematic data analysis. The data presentation of this study was done systematically, involving interpretations, descriptions, and narratives shared by the participants. The participants of this study were selected purposively according to their common roles and responsibilities aligned to the Personnel Administrative Measures policy document (RSA, 2022). Furthermore, ten participants were sampled based on their experiences of managing the foundation phase curriculum. The researcher chose a small sample size representing the whole population based on the participants’ efficacy and credibility regarding the study under investigation. Reports were generated using this data collection tool from departmental heads regarding their experiences of managing the foundation phase curriculum. Each participant's detailed description and analysis are presented to gain an in-depth understanding of the research questions.
