The study aimed at developing a Botswana Educator Job Satisfaction Survey (BEJSS). This study was prompted by the fact that researchers who investigate on Botswana secondary teachers' job satisfaction often use existing Job satisfaction instruments which were developed in the context of the population of their studies. The researcher wanted to design a tool specifically for Botswana schools based on their unique context which could possibly be used in Southern African countries with the same contextual setting as Botswana. The study used the mixed methods research (MMR) for data collection and analysis. Hence, The Qual-Quan approach was used. Focus group interviews were used for qualitative data while the newly developed Botswana Educator Job Satisfaction Survey was used for Quantitative data. For qualitative data analysis, NVivo 12 software was use, while SPSS version 28 and Winsteps, version 5.4.0.0 were employed for quantitative data analysis.
