The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between person-environment fit, innovative work behaviour, and psychological ownership. Furthermore, the study intended to explore the role that psychological ownership could play either as a mediator or a moderator in the person-environment fit and innovative work behaviour relationship.

This study was conducted using a cross-sectional survey-based research design. A convenience sample was obtained consisting of 492 participants employed in both the public and private sectors. Data was analysed using SPSS Statistics 28 and Mplus Version 8.7 statistical software which included confirmatory factor analysis, descriptive statistics, correlations, and mediation analysis.
