Evaluation of the framework for education technology
The research use the theoretical underpinnings of the Balanced Scorecard in strategy implementation and the ADDIE (Analyse, design, develop, implement and evaluate) instructional design model to develop a strategy map for learning with technology. The research approach followed the iterative cycles of design science research and combined it with a modified Delphi technique. Seven participants formed a Delphi panel. Interviews with participants provided rich information on current operational practices and challenges when using educational technology in the first round of research. The data from the interviews was used to create a strategy map which was then presented to Delphi participants in a second round of research. The participants had to evaluate the model that was constructed based on the information from their interviews. The final output was a strategy development framework.
