<p dir="ltr">This is a descriptive dataset on the dental and maxillofacial pathologies and anomalies of 106 south-western black rhinoceros skulls. The data was collected from skulls on rhinoceros skulls stored at the Etosha National Park and evaluation criteria was used to describe the dental pathologies identified on the skulls upon carefully examining and studying these skulls. This dataset includes criteria on tooth fractures, periodontitis, tooth abrasion and erosion, and tooth presence, as well as the presence of diastema on tooth and an evaluation of the pathological lessions such as osteomyelitis, osteosarcoma, and pathologies related to the temporomandibular joints.</p><p dir="ltr">The findings on all tooth from the 106 rhinoceros skulls are recorded in this dataset, and an indication of the prevalence of the pathological lessions in the rhinoceros skulls was concluded. Bard graphs, pie charts, and pictures are used to give an indication of the distribution of the pathological findings in the 106 skulls examined in the dissertation drawn from this dataset.</p>
