Exploring network typologies, network development, network functions and network benefits
This is dataset for a study that was conducted to have a nuance understanding of the networking behaviours of immigrant entrepreneurs in the South African entrepreneurial ecosystem. The data presents answers to four major research questions. Specifically, the dataset answer questions related to network typologies used by immigrant entrepreneurs, how such networks are developed and what the functions and benefits of networks are in the entrepreneurial ecosystem context. The researcher employed an interpretivist research paradigm using a qualitative method to collect data from 25 immigrant entrepreneurs via the purposive sampling method. The research was carried out in three municipalities in the Gauteng province i.e. Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg, and Tshwane.
