The study delves into the experiences of nurses caring for the mental health care users with intellectual disability. Employing an exploratory and descriptive qualitative design, and aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of these experiences. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect rich, detailed data directly from the nurses. This approach allowed flexibility in exploring various aspects of their experiences. The data where then analysed using thematic analysis, a method that identifies and examines themes within qualitative data. To select the participants, non-probability sampling was utilized, ensuring that a diverse range of experiences and perspective were included in the study.
