Exploring support networks of family members working in their family-owned businesses and how these networks influenced their career progression and overall well-being

This dataset contains a total of 14 interview transcripts with accompanying informed consent, and questionnaire responses from the participants of this study. Using this information, a thematic analysis of data ensued, the excel spreadsheets used during this process is available as well.  Research design, approach and method: a qualitative study was conducted and a non-probability, purposive and convenient sampling method was selected to recruit 14 family members employed in family-owned businesses. With the participants’ consent, semi-structured interviews were conducted and recorded, after which responses were transcribed and processed through a comprehensive thematic analysis.
