Genetic basis of drug resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis
This dataset consists of files and figures that were used to investigate the genetic basis of drug resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Files Lineage 1.txt - Lineage 6.txt describes the most discriminative polymorphisms needed to differentiate between susceptible and resistant strains. Files Lineage_1_df.txt - Lineage_6_df.txt show all epistatic interactions that exist between the most discriminative polymorphisms. These files also provide the results of the statistical analysis done to ensure that indeed these polymorphisms were epistatically linked. The figures show a network of epistatic interactions that have established evolutionary trajectories towards drug resistance. Common_polymorphisms.v5 shows pseudo sequences of amino acids that were identified among the polymorphisms.Common_polymorphisms.v5_annotation.out shows all the annotated polymorphisms found in Mtb strains. The files_metadata file shows all the drug susceptibility profiles of all Mtb strains included for analysis. Lastly, the universal_AMR_markers show all the markers/indicators of drug resistance to more than three antibiotics.
