The research was on development of guidelines for feeding practices for children aged 2-5 years. A mixed methods research design was utilized. Phase 1, was quantitative to determine feeding practices utilized by caregivers of children aged 2-5 years through a questionnaire. Phase 2, was qualitative where focus group discussion was done to determine what the stakeholders observed caregivers feeding their children aged 2-5 years on as well as to get their suggestions for feeding guidelines for children of this age range. Findings from phases 1 and 2 were integrated to come up with draft guidelines for children aged 2-5 years. In Phase 3, Delphi technique was utilized in which 3 experts reviewed the draft guidelines and for the researcher to come up with the final guidelines for feeding practices for children aged 2-5 years.
