This dataset underpins the research conducted in my MSc Zoology dissertation titled 'The at-sea behaviour of intermittently breeding adult female southern elephant seals from Marion Island'. It contains the at-sea location and associated diving data collected from six specific southern elephant seals from Marion Island from 2007 to 2012 (including daily dive duration, depth, and frequency). It also contains environmental data (net primary productivity and bathymetry) that was associated with each at-sea location collected at 24 hour intervals. Each data point also contains the year and season the data was collected, the age, sex, reproductive strategy, and behavioural mode of the animal, and the interfrontal zone in which the location was found.
