Intersection of human dignity and the human security framework, focusing on UK-based Southern African black healthcare women migrants from 2015 to 2022
This presents a variety of histograms to illustrate the patterns of discrimination that were discovered during the collection of the data for this study. Most of the data was sourced from reports written by scholars who obtained their primary data from interviewees who form part of the NHS. The NHS, as Jayaweera (2015: 1) explains, was established in 1948 and dominates the healthcare system in the UK. Most of healthcare in the UK is provided by the NHS, however, there are disparities in the healthcare systems and institutions because the NHS is devolved to various nations, including England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. All these nations are represented in the data collected in the study. The collection and presentation of data follows this structure: a description of each experience; categorising it under a variety of social issues; dating the experience; identifying the human security policy that has been infringed; and providing the source of the data. Thereafter, this information is presented through three different tables: the first for racism; the second for sexism; and the last for xenophobia.
