Lyrics and observation sheets of preadolescent children participating in a lyric songwriting completion assessment process
During a music therapy assessment session, preadolescent children in a children's home, participated in a lyric completion songwriting process. The transcription of the song lyrics contain their contributions to the process.
During the assessment session, the therapist-researcher completed an observation sheet of each child's participation.
The data were organised, and prepared for thematic analysis. The study is situated in a qualitative approach, and the data collection were based on a case study design.
