The research highlights the complexities of gender-based violence (GBV) perpetrated against illegal Zimbabwean migrant women during the Covid-19 induced lockdowns. The research contributes to the broader discourse on gender equality, human rights, social justice, and peace within the Pentecostal/ Charismatic church. It aimed to also strengthen the Pentecostal/ Charismatic church’s response to GBV and also reduce inequalities of helping people who were victims of GBV despite their citizenship status. The research methodology for studying gender-based violence perpetrated against migrant women during lockdowns and the associated pastoral care challenge involved a qualitative approach such as interviews, and case studies in order to gain in-depth insights into the experiences of migrant women, the nature of the violence they face, and the effectiveness of pastoral care interventions. Quantitative methods such as surveys or statistical analysis of existing data provided broader trends and patterns related to the prevalence of gender-based violence and the impact of lockdown measures.
