Passenger information system as a strategic information system in the rail industry

This dataset presents the role of passenger information systems in railway operations. Included in the dataset are different aspects such as: the passenger information system (PIS) as a strategic tool, link of the PIS to strategy in railway operations and its contribution to service delivery. To mention lastly but not least are the benefits and drawbacks of a fully functional PIS and the factors to be considered when formulating a PIS strategy as well as the strategic PIS framework.
