Primary school mathematical word problems

This study looked into the planning and delivery of word problems by math teachers in elementary schools. To get insight into this issue, a qualitative interpretivist case study with two Grade 7 teachers from various schools was employed. This was guided by two theoretical frameworks: pedagogical content knowledge and realistic mathematics education. Purposive sampling was the sample method employed in the study, and data collection was accomplished through lesson observations and document analysis.
