The purpose of this study was to explore the challenges faced by teachers in implementing alternatives to corporal punishment (ATCP) using two public secondary schools, in the Gauteng province, as sources of data.
My data set consists of verbatim transcriptions of the interviews conducted with 7 educators and 2 principals to explore the challenges they experience in the implementation of alternatives to corporal punishment.
This is a qualitative study, I used semi structured interviews to collect data. Thematic analysis were used to analyse data. The data was coded and themes were finally developed.
