We employed a phenotypic microarray analysis to investigate the ability of Phytophthora parasitica INRA 310 zoospores treated with Pectobacterium brasiliense 1692 OMVs (referred to as treated zoospores) to utilise various carbon sources provided by Biolog. These were compared to the negative control zoospores that were not treated with Pbr1692 OMVs (referred to as untreated zoospores). We separately added the treated and untreated zoospores into the inoculating fluid based on Table 2.1, aliquoted them into the 96 well microplates containing carbon sources at unknown concentrations, as per the manufacturer’s recommended instructions, and incubated the microplates for 48 hrs

The datasets also include a motility test  of  P. parasitica INRA 310 zoospores treated with Pbr1692 cells and Pbr1692 OMVs to test their effect on P. parasitica INRA 310 zoospores.  When zoospores were tested with Pbr1692 cells, ddH2O was used as the negative control  and and when zoospores were tested with Pbr1692 OMVs, PBS buffer was used as the used as a negative control. In both the experiments, Pbr1692 cells or OMVs were incubated with P. parasitica INRA 310 zoospore for 3 hours, visualising the motility of the zoospores every 30 minutes. Zoospores treated with Pbr1692 cells showed a reduced motility after 2 hours 30 minutes of the incubation, however, when incubated with Pbr1692 OMVs zoospores motility change was not observed.
