<p dir="ltr">The research investigates the impact of extractivism on rural livelihoods in the Matobo and Umzingwane districts of Zimbabwe. It explores how environmental degradation, loss of agricultural land, and inadequate policy frameworks affect local communities` economic stability and food security. Through a combination of qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys, the study analyses the effectiveness of existing policies and highlights the importance of integrating environmental justice principles. The findings aim to inform policy reforms that promote sustainable development and equitable resource management in the districts.</p>
