Dataset for a Masters study titled "The implication of retrenchments : through the lens of survivors". The study employed a qualitative research design and an interpretivist paradigm to explore the impact of retrenchments on those employees who remain within organisations post-retrenchments (survivors), as well as practices that organisations maintain a high-performing and committed workforce post-retrenchments.
Data collected was processed and categorised into themes in order to develop findings with relation to the research question. The study maintained high levels of confidentiality and ethical procedures.
