Two dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC-ToFMS) data from 2018-2020 air sampling campaigns, calculation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and straight chain alkane concentrations
This dataset represent data presented in chapters 2-5 of the thesis titled 'Novel air monitoring technologies for volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds for sustainable development'. The data is in the form of excel spreadsheets and figures. The spreadsheets contain calculations and graphs used in published journal articles. Figures created in powerpoint are also inlcuded for chapter 5. The data is summarised as follows:
Chapter 2 data: PAH quantification from worked GCxGC-ToFMS data from samples from engine exhaust in a dynamometer experiment.
Chapter 3 data: PAH quantification from worked GCxGC-ToFMS data from samples taken upwind and downwind during combustion of sugar cane.
Chapter 4 data: PAH quantification from worked GCxGC-ToFMS data from samples taken from the exhaust of a load haul dump vehicle in an underground platinum mine.
Chapter 5 data: C8-C20 alkane quantification from worked GCxGC-ToFMS data from samples taken during Combustion Aerosol Standard campaign using three different fuels and three differrent samplers including the novel graphene wool sampler.
