Phytophthora spp. identification, in vitro oomycide sensitivity trial, and in vivo root and collar diameter
The isolate sheet contains all the Phytophthora species isolates tested and identified as P. nicotianae or P. citrophthora using sequencing and PCR-RFLP. The isolate sheet shows the workflow to identify the Phytophthora spp. isolates. The in vitro trial data sheets show the P. nicotianae colony growth diameters measured in two separate trials of a dilution series of oomycide-amended media inoculated with Phytophthora nicotianae. SAS statistical analysis sheets calculate the EC50 values based on the measured colony growth diameters.
The in vivo trials evaluated the effect of ethaboxam and mandipropamid on root rot caused by Phytophthora nicotianae. The in vivo trial sheets contain the wet and dry root weight and collar diameter measurements taken at four harvest time points of a greenhouse trial. In the preventative in vivo trials, the oomycide was applied before P. nicotianae inoculation. The inverse is true for the curative in vivo trials. The oomycides applied to the in vivo trials were also ethaboxam and mandipropamid. The set also contains GenStat data which is analysed for statistical differences between different treatments.
