Numerical results of the vibration of flexible structures

<p>These figures complement the numerical results of a dissertation on analysis of the vibration of flexible structures. They include a comparison between exact and approximate solutions of the finite element method for the multidimensional wave equation for rectangle and triangle elements. </p> <p>Also included are plots of displacements of the pinned locally linear Timoshenko (LLT) rod, and comparisons between the cantilever LLT rod and the approximations of the mixed finite element method.</p>
