Numerical results of the vibration of flexible structures

These figures complement the numerical results of a dissertation on analysis of the vibration of flexible structures. They include a comparison between exact and approximate solutions of the finite element method for the multidimensional wave equation for rectangle and triangle elements. 

Also included are plots of displacements of the pinned locally linear Timoshenko (LLT) rod, and comparisons between the cantilever LLT rod and the approximations of the mixed finite element method.
