This dataset, cleaned and systematically reviewed, provides substantial evidence for the widespread usage of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) in the context of emerging technologies. Out of 76 evaluated studies, 64 underwent amendments. These revised data were subsequently utilized to extract key constructs and formulate the Smart Technology Acceptance Model (STAM).

To validate this new model, anonymised survey data from 205 valid responses are included, focusing on the developing region of South Africa. The application of structural equation modeling helped in the validation of the conceptual model in this specific context.
