This dataset explores the social protection challenges faced by black women street vendors in the informal sector of Pretoria, drawing on data from three key groups: street vendors, government officials, and international organisations. It examines the vendors' awareness of social protection programs, barriers to access, and their perceived needs. Insights from government officials highlight policy gaps and implementation challenges, while international organisations offer global perspectives and best practices. This dataset provides a comprehensive view of the complexities surrounding social protection for informal workers and aims to inform policy development and advocacy efforts.
