Occupational therapy student’s experiences of the international discussions in occupational therapy (i-DOT) project
These qualitative and quantitative data were use to inform a mixed method study investigating the experiences of occupational therapy students participating in the 'International Discussions in Occupational Therapy' project, i.e. the i-DOT project. This is an international online collaborative learning experience which involved occupational therapy students from nine institutions from eight different countries, spanning three continents at the time of the study.
The research looked specifically at the benefits of student participation in the project, together with the barriers and facilitators to their successful participation. This is an international study considering the value of the implementation of "internationalisation at home" as a means of providing a global perspective to learning for students in higher education.
