This dataset is aimed at assessing the effects of enhanced infection prevention and control (IPC) measures due to COVID-19 on the incidence rate of neonatal infections in the Mankweng Hospital (MH) Neonatal Unit (NNU) from 2016–2021. Data was conducted  through mixed method study using quatitative approaches which compromises of secondary data analysis and neonatal unit IPC audit.
