Retinoblastoma Binding Protein 6 (RBBP6) is a multifunctional gene associated with embryonic development as well as cancer cell proliferation and metastasis. The study aimed at analysing the effects of gene silencing in vivo using a spontaneous mouse model with breast cancer bred and inherited genetically such that the developmental process of human tumours is imitated for a more reliable preclinical data. Genotyping was done to identify heterozygous cancer- prone mice that inherited the cancer-causing gene following breeding.
