These datasets pertains to bibliometric data used to assess leadership and the future of work. The insights can be used to guide leadership to better strategise for not only operational aspects, but the future of work. The datasets follow Zupic and Čater (2015) and is applicable to the time frame 2011-2023 to allow for recent outputs and structures within the field of leadership and 4IR. The execution of the search term was 31 January 2023.

Without any limiting criteria, 7027 documents were retrieved from the initial search query from the Scopus database. Indexed terms were filtered considering the terms between Industry 4.0 (I4.0) and 4IR. To refine the documents per SQLR, several criteria were selected to focus on only relevant research articles. Per the selection criteria below, the queries produced 1029 documents that were eligible for the study with a final number of 727 used.

The data was cleaned using OpenRefine, and processed on Bibliometrix and R-studio.
